3/8/2024 0 Comments Money network account![]() I hang up, use my cash for my groceries (most of which was supposed to be for rent), and try to use that last $10. They offered to put a hold on my card, I told them to wait (so I could use that last $10 since I was already so low on cash). The transaction was still pending, so they told me basically to call them back when it was no longer pending. Obviously someone was able to use my card information, so I call the number on the money network card. Apparently, a $200 purchase was made at Sephora in Raleigh NC (far away from where I actually live). Of course, I'm very angry and confused, and I look at my account details. ![]() but when I look at my account balance, it says $10.95. I knew I had a little over $200 after taking out a good bit of cash. As I walk into the store, I decide to check my account to get an exact number of how much money I have left (even though I had a rough idea in my head. Pay day arrives, I withdraw some cash and buy something at my store (not a huge purchase, about $20). I don't like banks personally, and I don't like to keep up with checking fees and whether or not I'm meeting the criteria to avoid them.Īlso, this card gave me my paychecks the night before payday at 9:30 EVERYTIME, which was earlier than anyone else got their pay with a bank. So I work in a used book store (we sell a lot of other things as well), and I was given a Money Network visa card that says "bank of america" for all my payment because I don't have a bank account. This might be common knowledge to a lot of you, but I had to figure things out in a not-so-fun way, so if my advice can help or persuade anyone to use a real bank or even just get paper checks, then awesome. I originally posted this on r/talesfromretail but I also have served a lot in the past and know that a lot of restaurants provide this same card.
